Monthly Contemplative Book Group
Fourth Sunday of the month
Meets at 3:30 p.m. in the Guild Room off the Parish Hall. We are opening the group to the wider Christian community, so it will be a chance to meet other contemplative types for fellowship. You can email Mike Burch for more details. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Weekly Contemplative Prayer Group (Centering Prayer)
Meets at 11:50 a.m. on Sunday in the sanctuary, behind the main altar. Contemplative Prayer offers a more experiential way of knowing God through a contemplative reading of scripture and meeting with God in silence. This ancient Christian method was rediscovered by Thomas Keating and others in the 60s and 70s.The goal is to quiet our minds enough to let God "speak" to our souls directly.
