Whenever there are labeled leftover plates, dishes, etc. from events at St. John's, they are put in the East Narthex cupboard closest to the door. The top shelf is labeled for these items. Please be sure to check for your belongings.

Update from the Rector Search Committee: The Rector Search Committee has received materials from several applicants for our Rector position and will begin the interview process soon. Please keep the Search Committee in your prayers.

Scrip update:
We are moving into our summer ordering for the scrip program. The next day to order will be July 8th. Thought you'd like to know that so far this year we have earned $1,946.42 for St. John's. To those who have participated, thank you. If you would like to know more about the scrip program, please see Linda Kidd on Sunday.

We are saddened to announce the death of Ann Garey, long-time administrator for St. John’s. There will be a memorial service for her at Christ Church, 1060 Chandler Rd. in Lake Oswego, on Friday, June 22 at 2 pm.

A Prayer for a Time of Transition:
Almighty God, we pray that the power of Christ’s love may be present in our lives as we, the people of St. John the Evangelist, enter a time of prayerful discernment and transition to new leadership. May the Holy Spirit illumine the hearts and minds of those who have the responsibility to lead us as we prepare to build on the vision that is before us. Let not the prospect of change be an occasion for fear and confusion, but rather a time to build trust and increase understanding that Christ’s love may be made known between us and among us that your will may be done. Amen.

Coming Up:

Youth fundraiser for the Mission Trip:
Eat out at Burgerville! The youth will be at Burgerville in Gladstone on Tuesday June 19th from 5-8 p.m. to fund-raise for the mission trip. During this time, the youth will be serving and busing the tables in the restaurant and will receive 10% of the evenings profits. In addition, the manager has agreed to add 25 cents for each "specialty" milk shake that is included with a meal, to the group's profits. Be sure to plan ahead and buy scrip and come enjoy an evening of fellowship with other church members, good food and support the youth. Invite your family and friends as well. Remember it is Strawberry season at Burgerville!

The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. in the north park blocks; our precise meeting spot has not yet been announced, so please watch the diocesan E-Board for that important update.
