Fr. Thurston is interested in knowing of members of St. John’s who would find a grief support group helpful. He has a possible leader for a group who is skilled in grief work and is available for a group meeting. Please let the office know if this is something that would be supportive and helpful to you.
There will be no Adult Education or Church School this Sunday.
Offering Envelopes will be available to those who requested them. It's not too late to request a set of envelopes -- just call or e-mail the office.
Bobbie Brooks is in need of a ride; or rather, several rides, beginning the week of January 8th. She will be undergoing radiation therapy five times a week for several weeks, and needs someone to drive her there and back; each appointment will last about a half-hour. If you can help with this, please contact the office or Fr. Bud.

Metro, the regional government that oversees transportation, natural areas, urban growth and development in the greater Portland area, has a new tool called Opt In to hear the opinions of more local residents. Opt In is an online public opinion panel that asks participants to complete 1 or 2 short surveys each month on topics of regional concern. Opt In was launched about a year ago and so far over 8,000 people have signed up. However, most of these members live in Portland and Multnomah County. Clackamas County is very under-represented. Metro can’t make good and fair decisions without hearing from a broader perspective. Visit www.optinpanel.org to join.
